Compounding Services - Compounding is the traditional method of preparing customized medications to meet the unique physician and patient needs. We currently compound a number of natural hormones, pain medications, veterinarian medications, diaper rash creams, and various dosage forms. We believe that we can provide a valuable service to our community by meeting those needs that traditional medications cannot.
Sherrie McDonald was born and raised in Cabarrus County. She is the daughter of William and Ruth McDonald. She is a 1991 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and a 1996 graduate of UNC-CH School of Pharmacy. She worked for a chain pharmacy for 10 years before transitioning to a local independent. There she discovered her dream of opening up her own pharmacy with fellow co-worker Penny Jordan. She has a 10 year old daughter, Skylar. She is a member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church. She enjoys spending time with family, dancing, swimming, scuba diving and riding bikes.
Penny Jordan was born and raised in Cabarrus County. She is the daughter of Tony and Joan Helms. She graduated from Concord High School in 1985. She was a stay at home mother with her twin sons, Chris and John until she entered the pharmacy industry in 1990. She worked for a local independent pharmacy for approximately 15 years before considering opening Harrisburg Hometown Pharmacy with Sherrie. The pharmacy has been open since October 2005.
