Ron Massey Takes Over at Piedmont | Sports & Recreation
UNIONVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Big high school football coaching news coming out of Union County as former A.L. Brown and Kings Mountain coach Ron Massey will take over at Piedmont as their head coach.
Massey has 205 career wins and took both Kings Mountain and A.L. Brown to the 3A State Title games during his tenure.
Massey retired from A.L. Brown last year, but retirement only lasted one year.
He takes over a Panthers program that went 11-2 in 2010, but 5-7 last season.
